ABBA released a new album after 40 years of absence

Swedish group ABBA released a new album - "Voyage" - in November, after 40 years of disbandment.

According to The Guardian on September 2, the album includes all new songs, including a Christmas song. On this occasion, the group released I Still Have Faith in You and Don't Shut Me Down - announced in 2019 but not released. The group also worked, recorded, and released more than 10 other songs

In May next year, ABBA will appear through virtual images at concerts in London (UK). These images are created using motion capture technology, similar to CGI simulations in Hollywood cartoons. Wayne McGregor - artist of the Royal London Opera - is the choreographer of the group's performances. He said he would introduce new moves, in addition to the classic 1980s choreography.

The reunion brings two once-popular artists back together. Lyngstad and Andersson became engaged in 1971, the same year Fältkog and Ulvaeus were married, both breaking up in 1981. The conflict was revealed through the song The Winner Takes It All and in the film about the group's last album.

"It's been a pleasure working with the team again. I'm so happy with what we've created," says Lyngstad. She called Andersson and Ulvaeus "genius musicians". In contrast, the male members praised the vocals of the two female singers as "inspiring".

ABBA is one of the most successful groups in the history of the world with hundreds of millions of albums sold since 1972. Although only operating for 10 years, their music has left many marks in the hearts of the audience and inspired. for many junior artists.

Many singles such as Fernando, Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, Knowing Me Know You, Name of the Game... have won the UK charts. Album Abba Gold (1992) was the first CD to have more than 1,000 weeks on the chart. The musical Mamma Mia! - including many of the group's hits - were recently re-performed at the West End Theatre. The two feature films of the play, released in 2008 and 2018, grossed £440m and £285m worldwide respectively. The group disbanded in 1982 due to the breakdown in the marriage of both couples. In 2016, ABBA announced their reunion, starting new projects but many times missed the audience.
